Joanna's Mocktail
American Blueberry and Elderflower cocktail without alcohol
|

Purely refreshing nonalcoholic drink for a hot day. Blueberry, mint, lime work their magic after an afternoon of working the garden. An essential summer drink, no alcohol

Ingredients |

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
10 blueberries, fresh or frozen (normal-sized; use less if they''re the giant variety)
2 to 4 fresh mint leaves
2 tablespoons elderflower syrup
Ice
1 lime slice
1 cup grapefruit sparkling water (such as LaCroix)
fresh mint, for garnish

Steps

1 | Tear mint leaves into the bottom of a glass. Add lime juice and blueberries, then muddle well so that most of the blueberries break and the mint releases its oils. |
| 2 | Top with ice and a lime slice, then pour over elderflower syrup, followed by sparkling water. Stir to a light pink color. |
| 3 | Garnish with mint and serve. |
