2/3 cups butter, melted and cooled
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup pecans (optional)

Steps

1 | Preheat oven to 350°F |
| 2 | Mix together butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs. |
| 3 | Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to egg mixture. |
| 4 | Mix chocolate chips and nuts into flour mixture. |
| 5 | Press mixture into 10x15-inch baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes until lightly golden. |
| 6 | Cool and cut into bars. |
