Cajun Grilled Honey-Brined Pork Chops

Ingredients |
|
8 cups water
3/4 cup honey
1/2 cup salt
4 boneless pork chops, each 1-inch to 1-1/2 inches thick
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

Steps

1 | Heat 2 cups of water, pour into a large bowl and mix with honey and salt until dissolved |
| 2 | Add remaining water, thyme, pepper and cloves, and mix well. |
| 3 | When water mixture is at room temperature, add pork chops and refrigerate for 4-8 hours |
| 4 | Remove pork chops from the refrigerator 1/2 hour before cooking. Place chops on a plate and pat dry. Discard the brine. |
| 5 | Prepare grill. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning on both sides of chops. Once grill is ready, grill the pork chops, turning once, for 10-15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145ºF. |
